American School of The Hague (ASH) is looking for a temporary full-time Middle School Learning Support Teacher from August 1, 2026 to December 18, 2026 for the duration of a leave.

You are a certificated Learning Support/Inclusive Education Teacher with at least two years of successful experience delivering academic intervention at an international Middle School level. You have a degree in Learning Support or Inclusive Education, preferably a Master’s degree. You have recently completed training or professional development in collaboration and supporting differentiated instruction and inclusive best practices. You integrate technology into your instruction and see IT as an enabler for you and for learning.
In addition you have:
The Role: As the Middle School Learning Support Teacher you will work collaboratively with students, their families, and teachers to address individual academic needs and foster student progress. You provide a variety of service delivery models to best meet student needs. Serving as a case manager for identified students, actively contributing to their academic success and personal growth. This role is supervised by the Student Support Director.
The Work: You will establish positive, safe, and trusting relationships with students, their families, and teachers to foster student progress related to students’ academic needs. You plan, communicate, and deliver high quality academic support by utilizing data-based decision making and evidence-based strategies. As an active member of the Student Support Team, you actively participate in the advisory program, and other school initiatives.
In addition you;
Serve as case manager to identified students, including:
Plan, prepare, and deliver small-group interventions to Middle School students,
Build strong relationships with teachers based on mutual trust and strengths,
Support the planning and implementation of accommodations for students in the classroom that are determined by student need and class content,
Offer ongoing support to faculty, staff, and parents in order to accelerate student growth,
Establish and maintain ongoing professional communication and collaboration with service providers on and off campus in order to maximize student development,
Perform other duties appropriate to the position as assigned by the Student Support Director.
